Directors of TLW Solicitors, Peter McKenna and John Burn, are delighted to announce their patronage of Meadow Well Connected, a busy community hub providing practical training, activities and support to a large number of residents across a wide range of age groups in the Meadow Well area.
As well as the TLW team getting involved in standalone fund-raising events and buying locally sourced organic produce through Meadow Well Connected’s Tyne Fresh venture, Peter and John have committed to the ongoing support of the charity’s recently launched Positive Pathways project.
Positive Pathways project
The Positive Pathways team at Meadow Well Connected meet regularly to plan activities and events focussed on wellbeing and reducing isolation and loneliness within the Meadow Well community.
The project aims to enable those in the community to have memorable experiences that many of us take for granted, such as trips to theme parks, the cinema, theatre and other attractions.
With TLW’s backing, Meadow Well Connected can now organise and deliver a wider range of activities, outbound trips and excursions, which had previously been limited due to expensive transport costs.

Commenting on becoming Meadow Well Connected Patrons, Peter McKenna said:
“We were delighted to be asked to be Patrons of Meadow Well Connected for what is their 25th anniversary year. The work that Meadow Well Connected does across the whole of the local community is invaluable and we are delighted to be able to help with that work in some small way. All of the team at TLW have been genuinely blown away by the commitment and enthusiasm of the staff and volunteers. As soon as you walk through the door you feel the warm, positive atmosphere that they have created.”
Welcoming TLW as Patrons, Meadow Well Connected Chief Officer Mandi Cresswell added:
“We are so proud to have the support of TLW as our Business Patrons. It’s fantastic that they have recognised the work our team does to support local people, many of whom face significant challenges, and we know that having positive experiences can help them be more connected and thrive. We look forward to seeing the partnership develop further.”
