The London-based firm offered advice on retirement, pensions and estate planning products. Their website details what has happened to the regulated and non-regulated parts of the business, which have been sold to different companies.
Strabens Hall Ltd was a London-based financial adviser firm offering retirement, pension, and estate planning products. In September 2024, the company entered administration, meaning it could no longer meet its debt obligations.
Robert Ferne and Gary Shankland of Begbies Traynor (London) LLP have been appointed Joint Administrators.
The regulated business and assets have been sold to Hybrid Advice Central Ltd, who will take over providing ongoing advice to Strabens Hall’s clients. The company website says that Hybrid Advice will contact clients directly in writing.
The non-regulated business and assets were sold to D’Arblay Wealth Ltd (previously registered as SH Newco Ltd) and clients or creditors are invited to contact the Administrators with any queries.
A warning was also issued on the Strabens Hall website, reminding clients to remain alert to the possibility of fraud, as no-one from SH Newco, Begbies Traynor or City watchdog the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) would be calling clients directly.
What should I do if I have an existing claim against Strabens Hall?
If you have already made a claim against the firm and are due compensation, you should contact the Joint Administrators to determine how complaints, claims and compensation will be dealt with.
Can I make an FSCS claim against Strabens Hall?
+ −The Financial Services Compensation Scheme is a government-backed body set up to help victims of failed, FCA regulated financial firms. Strabens Hall has not been declared in default (failed), so it is too early to take a claim directly to the FSCS.
The Joint Administrators are working with the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) to determine whether there will be eligible claims. Keep an eye out for further updates.
